The 'Grace Kelly: Style Icon' exhibition opens this week at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. This very glamorous exhibition traces the evolution of her style from her days as one of Hollywoods most popular actresses in the 1950s and as Princess Grace of Monaco, and includes over 50 of Grace Kelly's outfits together with hats, jewellery and the original Hermès Kelly bag. What a must-see for fashion-lovers! The V&A Shop also has some lovely Grace Kelly style accessories so you can add some glamour to your life.
I was so happy to recently discover UK-based online boutique, Dolly Blake. The owner, Caroline Jones has curated a lovely selection of homewares, gifts and outdoor accessories mostly created by British independent designers. Everything is so charming and homely. Love it. Shop here.

I'm always touched by people who take steps to actively make a difference in the world. Kindle My Heart was just an idea to Californian local, Vanessa da Costa, but within only a couple of months she established a wonderful program with the mission to empower and support young girls.
Aimed at helping girls and young women who have experienced some kind of personal trauma, such as cancer, abuse or the juvenile system, Kindle My Heart uses meditation, art and beauty to make a positive change in their lives. The program is sponsored by the Art of Living Foundation who teach a Youth Empowerment Workshop that involves breathing techniques and yoga and Paul Mitchell salons who offer a beauty day, plus gift bag with hair products. Kindle My Heart also arranges for artists to teach art classes to children in hospitals, donates parenting books for young mums and Valentines and Birthdays cards to hospitals.
Its only the beginning for Kindle My Heart, Vanessa has lots more ideas to help young girls. And there is an easy and super fun way you can help... shopping! Go to the Kindle My Heart store and make a purchase - 100% of the profits from the sale of their shoes and mini skate decks are used to support the program, including buying wigs for cancer survivors. The beautiful artwork on these pieces have been donated by Brazilian artists Patchoca and Rubens LP.
We always tell my son that if he's naughty Santa will bring him a lump of coal instead of a toy. He laughs it off but I can see there's this little nervousness that we might be right. After all, he is quite naughty - he has cause to feel nervous.
Would be quite cruel to give this cute soap and bag to a child but I'm sure adults would see the funny side. Each hand stamped muslin bag is filled with 4 very realistic pieces of "coal" - hand cut bars of sweet anisette activated charcoal soap. I think this would make a great gift for work colleagues. Available from BeSem Natural Scents.
Can you guess what this cute little bunny is? Looks like a soft cuddly toy right?
Well, it actually transforms into...
I think this is a really cute idea. Instead of carrying around a bunched up shopping bag in your handbag, there is a cute little bunny friend. The Picnica Tote Bag is available here, here and here.
