My good friend Shelley asked me to make her a Brigitte bag from a piece of vintage Marimekko fabric that she had stashed away. Here are some images of the transformation.
Bags are a great way to use up pieces of precious fabric remnants.There are more than 20 pieces of fabric, lining and interfacing that go into making a bag like this. Although this bag used less than half of the piece of vintage fabric shown in the first picture. The bag was finished off with a large vintage glass button from my collection. There are some ready made Brigitte bags available on the Jaime Beattie website.
