Zoe Chen

I really like these pieces by San Fransisco based designer, Zoe Chen. Zoe uses screen-printing, applique and beading to make dresses and separates that are fun and chic - each one also has a cute little story to go along with it. Manoush

Described as poetic, bohemian, girly and even kitsch, French label Manoush exudes uniqueness and charm. It reminds me a little bit of Anna Sui or Alannah Hill. Also, I've always wondered how one would wear a pair of metallic gold Doc Martens - now I know. I do like a label that can be worn with practical shoes, especially if its winter.

Dori Csengeri

I can't get over how beautiful these pieces by Dori Csengeri are - and the amazing craftsmanship (click on the image for a closer view). Dori uses cabochons, fine stones, crystals, bohemian beads, shell, wood or metal to make her stunning jewellery.

This lady has a fascinating background too. A is a textile designer by profession, Dori is a graduate of the "Shenkar" College of Fashion in Tel-Aviv. Dori specialized in fabric design at Tootal Fabrics in Manchester and at Cyril Kowalewsky’s studio in Paris. Then, she practiced for many years as a freelance textile designer, in Israel and abroad. She also studied History of Art at Zurich University and painting at the Academie de Port-Royal in Paris. You can certainly see the influence of all these cultures and study in her beautiful pieces.

Polka Luka

Polka Luka is an Australian based label producing some really lovely resin jewellery. Designer, Alexandra Freeman, focuses on clean lines, bold colour, and geometric shapes to make timeless pieces that you can continue to wear long after other jewellery fads have come and gone. Her pieces are really affordable too - necklaces start at $45 (AUD), rings $35, earrings $30 and bangles range from $15 - $42 - a really good alternative to some of the more well known designer resin labels. Sterling Sue Sensi

I have a new obsession. Its Sue Sensi's gorgeous sterling silver jewellery.

I met the Melbourne-based designer earlier this month and I simply adore her necklaces and bracelets. Unfortunately for my bank balance, they look best when layered with several different pieces but I'm sure I can be patient and build my collection slowly. All of Sue's jewellery is made using sterling silver, semi-precious stones and the finest components. Beware though, there have recently been some imitations and copies of Sue's designs so make sure its the real thing before you buy.

Lou Lou Shoes

I love love love these shoes! I recently discovered Lou Lou shoes and was pleased to find that they are actually designed by a young Sydney woman who also worked in the corporate world before becoming a designer. The detailing and colour combinations are perfect. Check out the website here - the shoes are surprisingly affordable and some styles are even on sale.

Bellebas

I am absolutely besotted by pleats and tucks at the moment. They feature heavily in a collection I am designing. One label who presents pleats in a really unique way is Bellebas. Luli De Paula is an Argentinian fashion designer living in Ireland who creates beautiful dresses and tops featuring exquisite detailing. I would really love to have that dress in the last picture. Ceramics IV: You can wear it

In my investigation of fabulous ceramics I simply could not go past the outstanding ceramic jewellery collection by Dutch artist, Suus Keramiek. These pieces are all under US$30 so not only are they beautiful, unique pieces of wearable art, they are also totally affordable. Check out her etsy shop here.

Joanna Rutter

These sterling silver earrings and necklaces by Joanna Rutter are so sweet. I like the simple, minimalist appeal of them. Check out Joanna's etsy store and blog for more.

Bionic Unicorn

There is a lot of recycled and re-purposed jewellery around these days, but none I believe as exquisite and superbly crafted as Bionic Unicorn. Minneapolis-based designer, Kristin, blends chain, vintage faux pearls, watch parts, enamel flowers, vintage chandelier crystals and feathers to create stunning and unique wearble art. I wouldn't be a fashion-loving blogger if I didn't mention The Outnet, Net-a-Porter's new outlet site.
